Can't Sleep

Last night I went to bed at 9pm. It's almost midnight and I just can't drift off. For whatever reason I can't stop thinking about this asshole I cut off a few months ago. Called the Mayor on me. It's disappointing that I don't have anything better to think about.

I need to call John and see If he'll be home tomorrow. I want go get my amp, bring it home, and play a little guitar over the weekend. Maybe I'll be inspired to write something.

Monday we go to the Doc and check on Mandy's pregnancy. I can't wait for that. Hopefully we'll get to hear a heartbeat.

Weekend Recap

WOW all day Saturday. I felt like a zombie. I haven't spent that long playing a video game in years. http://luckiestrikes.guildomatic.com/ is the guild I joined. I finally switched over to Dentarg to play on the same server as Dustin.

Today was all Ivy and the NFL. The Falcons game was a train wreck of penalties. Harrington has good numbers, but we know he can't win the game for us all on his own.

Schaub is looking better every game. The Texans gave the world champs a run for thier money.

Ivy was all over me today. She was very sweet and always calling for Daddy even when Mandy was home.

Practice

What we need is a solid leader. No one in the group wants to assume that role.

I know I don't.

I guess I'm just burnt out on putting 120% into the music. Perhaps the "man" is holding me down. This lack of sleep isn't helping anybody. WOW isn't helping me either.

Part of me WANTS to be the leader.

So much to talk about

I can't find the time to keep this blog updated. I've thought of a million things to write about this last week and forget them by the end of the day. Maybe I'll try an end of the week wrap-up type of entry. Tonight I am very tired.

Garage Sale

Before my mower mishaps on Saturday, Mandy and I had a garage sale. Its intersting how many people will by the stuff that you don't want! This was my first garage sale! I'd have to say it has been a pleasent experience. The weather was just incredible Saturday morning!

Steve, Tracie and Ezra came by to have a look at our goods. Ezra was wearing a SWEET transformers shirt. Ivy spent the night with Terri and David the night before and hadn't arrived by the time Ezra showed.

Mower troubles

This guy wouldn't work at all on Saturday. I wasted a few hours tinkering around with it. I changed the air filter, spark plug, and checked the oil several times. The damned thing just didn't want to work. I took it back to Wal-Mart on Sunday. Exchanged for another new one. I had only just bought the last one. At the beginning of August when we moved into ths house! Oh well. The grass is mowed as of now.

Drama, Mirrors

Today was one of the most dramatic and theatrical days of my life so far. I will not go into detail here because it's WAY too complicated.

Lately, whenever I look into a mirror, I don't know myself. Seriously. I do not want that statement to be taken metaphorically. I really hardly recognize that guy. I guess i'm finally aging.

Supper, Winter, Band, Guitars

Traci and Steve came over for Supper tonight. Ezra and Ivy played together for a while. It was fun but very brief. Steve and I spoke about Video Games while the ladies cooked. It was just so damn BRIEF! I suppose it is a product of aging.

Meh.

Maybe I just need Winter to come. Fall is my favorite but I always feel more creative in the Winter.

Tomorrow is band practice. Corey is back from the Florida Keys so we should be able to get something done. It really does feel stagnant in there, though the addition of the Apple notebook might light a fire under our ass. We can pretty much record whenever.

A new music store opened up about a mile from the house. All Star Music. It was a pretty sweet store. They had at least one of every cool guitar that comes to mind.

The Move, The Internets are DOWN, WOW, SGU

I haven't made "blogging" a priority lately. Mandy, Ivy, and I recently moved out to Loganville. Its a little closer to our parents, so that negates us being a little farther from work. The traffic on 20 is horrible, but the construction is coming along nicely.

Our internet access has been down for the last 5 days. Today a "tech" came out and "fixed" it. It's had me on edge. I sorta watched the Falcons game friday through a very, very fuzzy ESPN. I think Harrington is gonna give us a winning season.

I've recently been introduced to World of Warcraft. As part of the move we bought a new computer. This one can actually run most of the games coming out.

I've also began listening to the podcast The Skeptics Guide to the Universe. They have given me a lot to think about lately. More to come...?
