It's funny where life takes you. My evening started out with a highly intellectual conversation about the origin of the universe and ended up with a rant about how some moron parked his car in two spaces in my apartment complex.
I wouldn't trade the way things have turned out for anything. I love my life. Sure it's not always puppies and clouds, but it's way better than it used to be. I feel more calm now that Ivy is here. It's just funny to think about how people come and go. On the 17th, Chad and Kim came out to see Chaosfest. I knew they were coming but later on that night I went up to Chad and said, "you know, it seems like we used to have a lot more friends." He just laughed and said, "I know man." He went on to tell me about their birth announcements and how Kim asked him who out of his friends he would like to send them to, and it turned out to be three people. I was lucky enough to be included! They have also recruited me to watch and care for Cyrus this weekend. They went "camping" at Stone Mountain. Cyrus is a good dog but he pulls a leash like a maniac.
Tonight reminded me how you never know how things are going to turn out. The universe, your friends, your band, your job, etc. I think what counts is how many times you laugh when you talk about "old times" compared to how many times you cry. If it turns out to be even, then everything is fine.
