an open letter to the marvel execs

Dear Marvel,

The only way you can save your ass on a franchise that has brought you millions in revenue is to rush out X-Men 4 and follow the Chris Claremont/Jim Lee run with "Days of Future Past". It's the only way to right all of your wrongs and introduce the characters all the fans really want to see: Bishop, Cable, GAMBIT. You dumbasses. When Prof X died in Xcrement 3 I was flabbergasted. Ecspecially knowing that Prof X is widely known to be one of the most powerful mutants in the X-men mythos. So you cured Mystique and Magneto...so what. Pyro is gay. We still haven't seen Logan in his trademark berserker rage. You could do it so easily. I can see it now, the camera shows us wolvie all pissed off beyond belief, and then you see his left hand show off the claws, the camera pans slowly to the right, only to see the right hand showing the adamantium we've all grown to love. Then you follow up with Logan destroying everything in his path. What will it take for you to see that if you satisfy the "hardcore" fans, the rest will follow? FFVII is a perfect example of this. If square had released Advent Children in place of The Spirits Within, Square would be in a much more profitable place. You would immediately satisfy the fanboys, then you would spark sales of the game(s). People want to latch on and figure out a mystery. If they don't understand something that the "in" crowd is into, some people will do all that they can to figure it out. All this does is make everyone money.

Who Knew?

Botis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
In demonology Botis is a Great President and Earl of Hell, commanding sixty legions of demons. He tells of all things past and future, and reconciles friends and foes.
He is depicted as an ugly viper, but when he changes shape, he puts himself in human shape, with big teeth and two horns. When in human shape he carries a sharp and bright sword in his hand.
Other spelling: Otis

Clarity

Today was sobering to me. There are many things I have forgotten. Though I may seem ungrateful, I am the luckiest man in the world.

God, if you're out there...Thanks.

Good Friday?

The last thing I wanted tonight to be was "drama in the band room" night. Jesus. I'm not frustrated with the band, or disenchanted, or anything. I like what's happening right now. The music is getting better, the lyrics are getting better. I can't really complain. Now it's down to choosing between two brothers? WTF? I was so upset that I even got in a "fight" with Drew. That is exactly the kind of thing I want to avoid if at all possible. I just want to play some damn shows and let the people let us know if we are doing something wrong.

Anywho, Mandy and I rearranged the living room today. I like it much better now. It seems like we have more space...maybe that is only because it's a different setup. I actually beat Mandy home tonight.

Sunday will be Ivy's first Easter. We should go tomorrow and get her a basket and candy that Mandy and I will eat. It's gonna rule. Later on.

nine beers

Nine beers into a saturday night. Whatever happened to music videos that had half-naked women and alchohol and smoking and all that? Avenged Sevenfold is the only thing that comes close, and that's not saying much. The new Deadbird CD is pretty damn good. I remember the sample that says something, like, "man killed the bird, and when he killed the bird, he killed the song, and in killing the song he killed himself." I think that's pretty damn deep right about now. I wish I could find a cool new "intro" to the G:X stage show. That would rule. If i'm passed out when Mandy comes home, i'm sorry. What else is there for me to do? I need to get a pandora's box or something like it. So I can play guitar silently as to not wake up the Ivy pants.
Whateva, the goddamn new green day song, is "ring of fire" done a little differently. Fuck Green Day. I've always hated them. Being drunk is cool. Fuck you.

Rainy

It's a crappy rainy Saturday morning. Red Sparrowes in the cd player. Ivy is tearing up an old issue of EGM. Mandy is sleeping. I had a dream that she left me for some Joaquin Pheonix looking dude. It made me wake up. So Ivy and I are just hanging out. Our new drummer, Drew, is beyond what I could have asked for. I feel like a kid again. Now we just need some good tunes.

Hahahhahahhaah

I can't find the words. I guess some people will always need others to fight for them. Just go away.

What you want and what you get

are never the same thing. I'm tired of the deception. It's draining me. I keep trying to go to bed earlier but it never happens. I feel all stretched out. Tense. Drunk. Whateva.

You deserve this.

Camcorders are cool

Mandy and I pooled our money and got a nice video camera. It is a hell of a lot of fun to play with. I've already snuck in on her and got some cool shots.

Ivy got a lot of cool stuff this christmas. A bunch of toys and clothes. Mandy's family bought me some clothes that I actually really like a whole lot. Overall it has been an awesome christmas.

Over and out.

Christmas

Corey still has my copy.

My brother invited Mandy, Ivy, and I, to his house on Christmas day. I don't know if I remember how to get there.

My eyes are chrome.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Dark secrets are always being whispered. Nothing is ever as it seems. To quote someone I used to know: "I know where you hide, and how you bleed, take the breathe, I can't breath" It's always so romantic and wonderful when you remember things that mean a lot to you. Even if the above quote is completley wrong. It's how I remember it. Memories don't have to be the truth.

Cynic

Tonight I'm trying.....

I will have the amp of my choice in early 2006. I've decided on that much. I owe it to myself. That being said, however, makes me kind of sad. The only thing I can think of that I want for christmas is a new head and cab. Then when I think about what i'm using it for, and I get all upset. Why does it have to be this way? Am I creating an ultimatum? Crap. These are dark days. I don't really know who I am anymore. A Dad. A guitar player in a band. A husband. I know I sound ungrateful. I'm really sorry that I feel that way. I have a great job, a beautiful daughter, an equally beautiful wife, a truck that runs, a dog that shits on the floor, a band thats played for 1500+ people in one sitting...so why am I not happy?
